cataract surgery
Most ophthalmologists perform cataract surgery but not all go the extra mile to produce excellent results.
Our approach to cataract surgery is very much technology driven. We aim to produce the highest quality work with the highest patient satisfaction.
Excellent surgery starts with excellent communication with our patients to ensure that they understand the entire process of surgery and have realistic expectations of the outcome. We treat people like people not numbers.
Measurements are made with the most accurate equipment available. We use the Zeiss IOL Master and Zeiss Acuitus keratometer. All measurements are then optimized by using the Holloday Consultant software to ensure accuracy and reproducibility. During the surgery all efforts are made to reduce astigmatism, using either limbal relaxing incisions (LRI) or toric intraocular lenses.Surgery is performed with the latest ALCON Infinity phacoemulsifier and the lens that we use is the the most modern, acrylic blue blocking lens
Finally, we audit our results to allow for fine tuning of outcomes. Our goal is 6/6 vision wherever possible.
